Acne Tips - Dealing with Body Acne

It is quite interesting to note that it is not only the face that can be affected by acne, but the whole body can be affected and it is equally disturbing for anyone to have body acne. The reasons for having acne and unwanted eruptions on your body is quite similar to that of the face but getting rid of them is a bit more difficult and challenging.

Let’s find out what some of the major causes of body acne are and how we can control or deal with them.

1. Excessive Sweating: One of the major causes of having body acne is excessive sweating and dirt. When the body is sweating excessively, it is of utmost importance to let it dry or better still keep it dry by wearing suitable clothing. Sweat and sebum can block skin pores and will give rise to infections and acne. Make sure during summer that you wear light coloured and thin clothes of absorbent material which allows enough air to pass through your body and keep it sweat-free.

During winter make sure you wear warm clothes, and hydrate your skin with an oil-free lotion which will moisturize your skin rather than overload it with unwanted oils. Keeping skin hydrated during winter is very important to prevent dryness and the subsequent complications.

2. Daily Grime: Take a shower every day with an anti-bacterial soap if possible. Anti bacterial soaps will ensure that the micro-organisms accumulated on the skin throughout the day are properly cleansed away. It will also ensure that the oil accumulated on your skin is removed and it will prevent blocking of the pores. Your hard work will go a long way to ensuring that you are acne-free, as acne eruptions occurs the most during winters.

3. Dirty Clothes: If you are sweating, make sure you change your clothes at regular intervals to ensure freshness. Change your clothes everyday and wash your clothes regularly to ensure they are clean and fresh all the time. If possible use a prickly heat powder.

4. Body/Hair Oil: Avoid using too much body oil as it may hydrate your skin but also ensures that your skin is sticky and the pores are open. This holds true for hair oil as well. Too much of hair-oil will lead to unwanted pimples.

Body acne is the same as normal acne on your face. The only difference being that it is more difficult to manage the whole body than managing just your face. But the fundamentals are the same. Keep your skin clean and clear and drink a lot of water. Proper hygiene will ensure that you will have less skin eruptions on your body and healthier more comfortable skin.
