Best Homemade Acne Facial Treatments You Can Make Yourself

Since there are several different kinds of homemade masks or facials you can make, it's a good idea to try several and then pick out the one that you feel works best for you. This is easy to do because the homemade ones are far cheaper than going out and buying those expensive store brand ones.

One facial you can try is the oatmeal facial. Use regular oatmeal with no extra ingredients. Mix one tablespoon of the oatmeal with 1 teaspoon of baking soda. After you do that you will need to add just enough water to make this into a paste. Once you have the paste mixed go ahead and apply it all over your face. Make sure to avoid your mouth and your eyes. Let it sit on your face for about fifteen to twenty minutes so it can dry. Once it has dried you can rinse it off with some warm water and then splash a little bit of cool water on your face after the mask is gone. This mask helps to remove dead skin cells and it reduces inflammation of the skin caused by acne.

Another thing that you can use as a mask is your ordinary calamine lotion. Just take the calamine lotion and put it on your face. Again make sure that you avoid your eyes and your mouth. After you put this all over your face let it dry for twenty minutes. Once dried go ahead and wash it off with some warm water and again splash your face with some cool water after your face is cleaned off. Make sure not to use this kind of facial every night. This will work better if you only use it about every three nights.

Hate that white milky and chalky stuff called Milk of Magnesia? Well, your skin won't. Take the Milk of Magnesia and just like the calamine lotion put it all over your face avoiding the mouth and eyes and let it sit on your face for about 15 minutes or a little longer before you wash it off with warm water. Just like the other masks make sure to splash your face with a little bit of cool water after the mask is removed. If you happen to leave this mask on longer that's OK, there are some people that actually leave it on overnight. Milk of Magnesia has wonderful antibacterial properties in it and it won't hurt at all to leave it on all night. You can even use a very thin layer of it under you makeup when applying your makeup. This protects your skin and it helps to keep your makeup on all day long.

Another great mask is made from honey and grated apple. Grate some apple and then mix it with 4 teaspoons of honey. Put this paste all over your skin and let it stay on your skin for about 20 minutes. By the way, don't wait for it to dry, it's not going to. After, rinse off with warm water and rinse your face with cool water. Honey like Milk of Magnesia also has some great antibacterial properties that will help benefit you skin as well.
