You should shower at least once a day and you should use a mild cleanser or body acne cleaner. When you take a shower, make sure that the water is warm and is not overly hot. Being too hot it's going to dry out your skin and it's just going to irritate the acne even more.

You should also try and exfoliate your skin at least one time a week by using a gentle scrub or body cleaner and a very soft sponge. You need to be as gentle as you can when you are doing the exfoliating, otherwise you could end up making the acne on your skin even worse.

You need to try and reduce stress in your life. Stress in one factor that can make acne outbreaks worse. Stress doesn't cause the outbreaks but once you have an outbreak the stress can become a big problem in increasing the risk of more irritation. Meditation and/or yoga are both really good things to help relieve stress.

You should consider eating healthier foods and make sure that you drink plenty of water each and every day. Water is going to help to hydrate your skin. Not that junk food causes acne it can however, cause the outbreak to get worse if you eat too much of it during one of your outbreaks.

Be patient with the acne treatment that you buy. You need to give it time to work in order to see any results. If however, it doesn't work after say about 3 or 4 weeks, you may want to end up trying a different one and continue to do this until you find the one that finally works for you.
